Ken Burton was presented to Her Majesty the Queen following a Royal Gala performance to commemorate the reopening of the Royal Festival Hall, of which Her Majesty is patron.
Co-conducting alongside Harry Christophers, Burton directed both the Croydon SDA Gospel Choir and London Adventist Chorale in RCG Willian's reworking of Henry Purcell's Sound The Trumpet. Previous presentations to Her Majesty were:
following two Commonwealth Day services at Westminster Abbey;
on the podium outside Buckingham Palace on the night of Prom At The Palace (also present on the special podium were Michael Parkinson, Kiri Te Kanawa among others);
in the same year as the Prom At The Palace Jubilee Concert, Burton was presented to Her Majesty at an interfaith celebration for an environment charity run by the Duke Of Edinburgh
Sep 2007 - NEW ALBUM
The Adventist Vocal Ensemble (aka AVE) is a regular face on your screens. This fine group of session singers has a versatile easy-listening vocal sound covering favourite hymns,spirituals and contemporary gospel music, with rich harmonies, a massive vocal range, and a range of vocal tones that could be described as 'uncompromisingly Classical','uncompromisingly Jazz', 'uncompromisingly Soul' or 'or uncompromisingly gospel'.
The first album is a feast of sixteen songs, which have all been favourites of viewers of the various programmes on which the ensemble appears.

The album is under the brand new AVE International label.
Ave International Ltd, based in Hertfordshire, is a new shareholding company, looking after the funding and sales of the albums of AVE.

VOICELAB GOSPEL WORKSHOP PERFORMANCE

As part of Voicelab’s mission to engage with singing in all musical styles, world-renowned bass-baritone Sir Willard White joins 170Voicelab singers, led by Ken Burton with singers from his London Adventist Chorale, for a free concert of gospel songs. Singers perform music learnt throughout the day’s workshop and cover everything from traditional to contemporary gospel.

NEW PUBLICATIONS 

Faber Music will publish 2 pieces from 'Let The Sound Of Freedom',  a work for 2 choirs which Ken composed in March 2008.
These works will be part of the new Choral Signature series. 

ADVENTIST VOCAL ENSEMBLE
The ensemble performed a few weeks ago for a special service in Eastry Kent, at the invitation of Sally Muggeridge - Williams, on the occasion of her and husband David's fortieth wedding anniversary. Special guests were Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah. Sally Muggeridge is the chief executive of the Industry and Parliament Trust, as well as a broadcaster. 
The ensemble continues to make appearances on BBC television, 'Songs Of Praise, and will be filming for the 2009 Big Sing at Royal Albert Hall. Apart from the Summer highlight programmes,  the ensemble will feature on September 6th in a programme filmed at Southwark Cathedral.

CROYDON SDA GOSPEL CHOIR, NEW ALBUM
Celebrating its thirtieth anniversary and as part of the 'Year Of Evangelism' , the 'Gospel Choir', as it is known, will present two weeks of evangelistic outreach in the form of a programme of music and presentation of the message of the gospel in spoken format. As part of the whole programme, the choir is recording a new album as a companion to the programme. All visitors will receive a complimentary copy. That's reason enough to come. It takes place at the Croydon Seventh-Day Adventist Church, on September 18-19, and October 1-2 (musical), September 20-September 29 (music & spoken word/seminar) . The programme and album , entitled 'Love Without End', is presenting the gospel story.

LONDON ADVENTIST CHORALE
After a fantastic tour in Kenya in February, and a highly successful festival tour in July, the London Adventist Chorale looks forward to its most busy time of year - the autumn/winter season with Christmas concerts once again in Clonter Opera Theatre and Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons. The Chorale will also be working on a new recording project specifically for its Kenyan connections. 
In January 2010, a historical meeting of two musical groups will take place: London Adventist Chorale meets the Swingle Singers.
